Therefore, Jesus, as savior is not considered to be necessary. Nor is his death on the cross as a payment for the penalty of sin treated with any degree of respect. (11) New Agers believe in REINCARNATION, that events in the world are influenced by the stars. They practice nature worship, and they say that humanity is not, at present, completely separated from God because of sin. (12) The cult expert Alan Gromes has stated: “Cults GROW OUT OF and DEVIATE FROM a previously established religion.” (13) Judaism acknowledges Jesus was a teacher and a rabbi. They grant that Jesus’ mother was named Mary. Judaism agrees Jesus had many disciples, and admits He was a miracle worker, was crucified on the cross, andHis followers reported He rose from the dead. But Judaism does not accept Jesus as divine nor as the Messiah nor as the Son of God. Instead, they view him as a false Messiah and a martyred Jewish rabbi.
