In today's episode of The Female Fitness Podcast I have the pleasure of being joined by Rory Finch, who is a sports therapist and founder of Made To Move, a recovery and performance hub in Sheffield!
This conversation was packed full of value, with our focus being how we can reduce our own and our clients injury risk.
We discuss:
- Common programming mistakes that contribute to issues.
- Common causes of injury or restriction outside of programming.
- Whether there are any particular movements or exercises Rory would like to see more of in people's programs, that would result in a reduced likelihood of them running into issues.
- General principles we might follow to reduce injury risk, and increase our likelihood of long-term success.
- What we often do wrong in response to pain, and on the flip side of that what we should be doing.
- Whether saunas, massage, and ice baths have their place when it comes to supporting recovery.
and so much more!!
As always, thank you so much for your time. If you have any questions, feedback, or requests for future episodes, I would love to hear from you!!!
