he Tampa Bay Rays fall to the Toronto Blue Jays 6-5. The Blue Jays jumped on the Rays early. Scoring 1 run in the 1st then adding another 3 in the 2nd chasing starter Ryan Pepiot out of the game after just 1.2 IP. Brandon Lowe would bring the Rays closer with a 3 run home run in the 3rd inning to make it 4-3. The Blue Jays would extend the lead in the 4th and 5th innings with solo homers to make it 6-3. Tristian Grey would hit a RBI single to make it 6-4 in the 8th. Brandon Lowe would hit a RBI single in the 9th to make it 6-5. But the Rays would not cash in with runners on base much more than that. The Tampa Bay Rays lose the final game of the series to the White Sox 5-1. The Rays could not get the big hit today. The Rays had multiple opportunities with RISP but could not come through with a single hit with a man in scoring position. The White Sox got things started right away with a 2 run first inning. They would add another 3 runs in the 6th inning to make it 5-0. The Rays only run would come in the 8th inning on a RBI ground out. Ian Seymour started for the Rays and was solid. He went 5.2 IP striking out 5 allowing 3 runs. The Playoffs are all but a fantasy for the Rays at this point.
