The book, The Big Print, by Lawrence Lepard, has a quote from Alan Greenspan: "In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. There is no safe store of value." However, there IS a solution. It's called Bitcoin. Bitcoin is rare because it has a fixed supply. Bitcoin is deflationary. It costs less and less Bitcoin to purchase things as Bitcoin continues to reach a new all time high price. Conversely, USD LOSES purchasing power as more and more dollars are printed. So prices rise in the marketplace.
College degrees alone, did not make me and my family wealthy. Learning how to buy/hold assets will make you rich. It's your pathway to freedom. Your entire life is centered around receiving cash flow. Examples of cash flow: your paycheck, your Social Security check, your pension check, your retirement check, investment income etc.
Real life scenario discussed: If you have debt, what is better? Paying off the debt in one payment, if you can? Or is it better to create weekly/monthly cash flow and use the ADDITIONAL cash flow to pay off your debt at quicker pace? If you choose to use cash flow to pay off debt, then ONCE the debt is paid off completely, you STILL have additional cash flow! What can you do with cash flow? Answer: Anything you want. That's what makes it so valuable.
Have courage today, to pick one thing, and work on your dreams. We will talk again soon.
I'm not a financial advisor. This podcast is for education/entertainment purposes only. You will need to do your own research and accept responsibility for the results of any money you choose to invest. I love using Schwab.com to buy/sell stocks/ETF's/closed end funds/options. Schwab has a very user friendly app/website and their customer service is excellent. I can easily get to speak to a human being whenever I have questions.
