Three-Inning Save: NLCS heads back to Los Angeles with Dodgers down 2-0
The first two games in Milwaukee were close, but the Dodgers dropped them both in excruciating fashion, and trail the National League Championship Series two games to none.
Tarik Skubal allowed two runs in Game 1 but the Dodgers only scored once. Yoshinbou Yamamoto recorded only eight outs in Game 2, felled by a 12-pitch walk and 36 pitches in his final frame.
Brewers keep getting the big hit while the Dodgers cannot. They might not have scored in Game 2 at all were it not for starting pitcher Logan Henderson making two throwing errors and a wild pitch that led to four runs.
Shohei Ohtani looks lost at the plate and might sit as early as Game 3. Though nobody in the NLCS led by more than one run until the eighth inning of Game 2, the Dodgers look like they are playing uphill against the Brewers.
Back at Dodger Stadium, Blake Snell starts Game 3 for the Dodgers on Wednesday against Brewers left-hander Robert Gasser. Tyler Glasnow starts Game 4, and should the series last that long, Skubal will start Game 5.
