Three-Inning Save: Dodgers swept away by Brewers in NLCS
One year after sweeping the Brewers in the NLCS, the Dodgers were swept away in 2026 by Milwaukee in four games, including the final two losses at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
In both games at home, the Dodgers had a lead and the Brewers came back. Blake Snell had a great start until he didn’t, Tyler Glasnow retired 10 straight to open Game 4 but recorded only four more outs. Brewers first baseman Jake Bauers figured prominently all series, and he won NLCS MVP.
The Dodgers offense had fits all series, scoring only 11 runs in four games, struggling especially against Aaron Ashby and the back end of the Brewers bullpen.
Shohei Ohtani was adamant he was healthy enough to play and close to figuring things out, and Dave Roberts backed him. Ohtani reached base twice in Game 3 and homered in Game 4, the Dodgers’ only home run of the series. Ohtani was asked if any offseason surgeries might be needed for his knee and biceps, and he said it’s “hard to tell at this point.”
Also, Miguel Rojas retired after 13 seasons as a player. He’ll move into the Dodgers front office in some capacity.
