Mooney’s death has been classified a homicide, while Coats’ remains under investigation as a “suspicious” death. Their families had gone days without hearing from them, ultimately triggering welfare checks that led to their tragic discoveries.Because of the eerie parallels—same age range, same profession (models/part-time models), same geographic area, and nearly simultaneous deaths—the families are terrified a serial predator might be on the loose. Laura Bradbury and her family were at Joshua Tree national park to enjoy a camping trip. Her and her brother left the campsite to go to the bathroom.
