Another Spooktacular ends, and what better way to close it out than with Halloween Ends—the final movie in the reboot trilogy. This time, we're talking about Corey and how he's madly in love with Michael Myers. Apparently, all it takes to make someone completely unhinged is to stare deep into Michael's creepy eyes.Expect plenty of face trauma and heavy horny energy coursing through this movie. Original final girl Laurie Strode is busy writing a memoir about surviving Michael a million times, which naturally makes the entire town hate her. Meanwhile, Laurie's granddaughter, Allison, has to navigate (instantly???) falling in love with a soon-to-be serial killer. Plus, there's a radio host who just has so, so many opinions. Will anyone shut him up?The movie has a lot of threads it needs to wrap up. Legend of the Guardians was a movie with maybe one of the longest titles of all time. I'm not even going to write it out in this description because it would make it too long; SEO be damned. Planned to watch this movie back when Sam Neil passed away, which now feels like forever ago. Regardless this movie is one of the first movies where Zach Snyder we feel wanted to show he had range. He wanted to say, "I don't just make movies about shirtless men who kick people into holes and super hero movies! I can make movies for kids too."Well he did. And the movie is honestly not that bad. It's maybe a little convoluted at times, but the message is clear: Being a Nazi is bad. What weirdly seems like the start of a new trilogy, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes takes place after all of the apes have already established colonies on earth.Caesar from the first three movies is long dead, but his legacy lives on. It's the end of this a'Mazin month with the boys watching The Huntsman Winter's War. A prequel/sequel to Snow White and The Huntsman, but without the snow white part (Kristen Stewart). Mazin apparently had a lot of fun writing a film filled with knock off fairy tale tropes, awful goblin designs and dwarf jokes about their women-folk's appearance.
