Rachael Adams is a Professional American indoor volleyball player, she played 4 years at the University of Texas in Austin from 2008-2012, was a member of the United States women's national volleyball team from 2013 - 2022, brought home a Bronze medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics and a gold medalist at the 2014 World Championship. She has been playing professional volleyball all around the world in countries like Italy, Poland, Turkey, and is currently playing her 10th professional volleyball season in Brazil and working on her certification to become a mindset coach so she can help female athletes increase their confidence and take up space on the court. In this episode, we discuss Rachael's professional journey, what mental toughness really means, self-talk, strategies that athletes can use to release stress and anxiety, and how to take up space during games and competitions.
