161: behind the scenes | why i let my medical license expire
Four years after leaving clinical medicine, I finally let my medical license expire.
Not because I had to.
Because it was time.
This wasn’t an easy decision at all.
Fear told me I needed a backup plan.
What if my husband died? What if he was disabled? What if my coaching practice needed to cover all our bills, two kids in college, and unexpected medical expenses.
In this very special podcast episode, you get the behind the scenes of clipping the last ties to my medical license.
IMPORTANTLY, this episode isn’t about leaving Medicine (necessarily). It’s about loving your life, inside or outside of the hospital.
It’s about doing less of “what you have to do” because of fear and panic.
And more about doing what your soul is called to do, even if that’s staying in Medicine.
Here’s what you get:
- The insurance pivot: How I solved every catastrophic "what if" scenario with actual financial planning instead of clinging to credentials I'd never use again
- The identity shift a friend saw before I did
- The Red Balloon Ritual
- The move to California with zero fallback plan
Take it all in and tell me what this sparks inside! Christina
