Day 70: God sets up festivals | A man curses God | Jesus dies then gets buried in a tomb
In Leviticus 23-24, God commands the Israelites to observe sacred assemblies, festivals, and Sabbath rests, including Passover, the Festival of Weeks, and the Day of Atonement. These celebrations are to be times of reflection, thanksgiving, and community, symbolizing the Israelites' relationship with God. The chapters also address the sacredness of God's name, illustrated by the punishment of blasphemy and the importance of justice.
Will the Israelites faithfully observe these holy convocations and maintain the sanctity of God's name amidst their challenges?
In Mark 15:33-47, darkness falls over the land as Jesus hangs on the cross, culminating in His poignant cry, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" before He breathes His last. A Roman centurion witnesses His death and declares, "Truly this man was the Son of God!" Joseph of Arimathea, a respected member of the council, courageously requests Jesus' body from Pilate for burial, wrapping it in linen and placing it in a tomb.
Will the darkness that fell upon the earth and the centurion's declaration prompt a change in the hearts of those who witnessed His death?Support the show at Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/storymaster
