Sayadaw U Tejaniya is a Burmese monk who studied with Shwe U Min. A householder until 36 years old, he focuses on a continual awareness throughout daily life. His style is very different from the first episode’s topic, Mahasi Sayadaw.
Sayadaw U Tejaniya focuses on a gentle and continual effort, right attitude, and watching the mind rather than objects. This is the style in which I currently practice, and find his style of practice and sitting meditation to be very pragmatic.
If his teaching style interests you, we have a weekly sitting group in this style that focuses on mindfulness throughout the day.
