Which Moving Pictures Move Us?

We watched A Midsummer Night's Dream, based off of Shakespeare's famous comedy, starring Kevin Kline, Michelle Pfeiffer and Christian Bale, and share our thoughts on this adaptation. If you have any film suggestions, you can send your requests to [email protected] or send a message on Instagram @whichmovingpicturesmoveus. Guest: Christina Acton

We're kicking off the summer with hands down one of the greatest summer films of all time....Jaws, from 1975, starring Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw. Join us as we unpack this amazing film and share our thoughts on it! We also re-cast some of our favourite characters and share some fun facts at the end. If you have any film suggestions, email them to [email protected] *Correction: Richard Dreyfuss did not win best actor for Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but instead won it for The Goodbye Girl!* Guest: Dominic McLean

To finish off our theme on Sidney Poitier, we watched the film To Sir, with Love from 1967, where Poitier plays a teacher at a London East End school. 1967 was a big year for Poitier, with the additional releases of In the Heat of the Night and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. We hope you enjoyed this theme, and if you have any suggestions on a next theme or what films we should talk about next, email them to [email protected]! We are on Instagram now, so send us a message and give us a follow @whichmovingpicturesmoveus Guest: Hannah Tuck
