There is no doubt that Henry received a very 'privileged' education and he attended some of the best private schools in the UK. However, he soaked up every part of it. He embraced as much of it as he could, and he made as many connections as he could. He recognised mentors that were in front of him and he extracted as much as he could from each of them.
Henry didn't take any of his education for granted and his beliefs and his approach to privilege and education are as progressive as they are pragmatic. Henry describes his school (Oakham School) as a gift for children, which he clarifies to mean that although he doesn't want any student to feel guilty about receiving it, he does expect them to feel gratitude for it and to embrace it fully; and get the most out of it, just like he did.
Please meet Henry.
