Welcome to January’s episode, where guest host, Gemma Bennett, Senior Broker at The Mortgage Mum takes time to discuss getting mortgage ready as a self-employed applicant.

Gemma has been self-employed as a sole trader and a limited company director for her whole working life. She understands how it can really feel like you’re jumping through hoops and met with a certain amount of resistance when it comes to mortgages first hand.

Since working in the mortgage industry for the last few years Gemma has seen the other side, the lenders side of self-employed lending. Gemma wants to put both areas of experience and knowledge together, to help her fellow self-employed applicants be as prepared and empowered as possible when it comes to their mortgage needs.

Gemma offers tips and explains certain processes in a hope that you as a self-employed mortgage applicant, can get yourself in the best possible position for your mortgage needs.

We really hope you enjoy this episode and please don’t hesitate to ask any questions.
