Growing up going to Catholic school taught me that sex was bad. We were told not to masturbate or we would go blind and the boys would grow hair on their palms. Sex was very taboo and when talked about was always fear-based. Don't do it or you'll get pregnant or catch a disease. So it's no wonder that in our 40s, 50s, and up we may be struggling with sex in our relationships. We were encouraged to wait until marriage but no one told us how to have sex or be intimate or even how to talk about what we wanted with our spouse and yet somehow sex was going to magically be great!
Well, we are finding out that maybe that isn't true. I have worked with couples who waited and are frustrated about their sex lives, lack of orgasms, or lack of quality sex. They aren't sure what to do especially as Christians. So today I am talking with Dez Wright founder of Real Raw Righteous: Real talk to get to the Raw truth for Righteous living.
The Mission:
- Help women find resolutions to the challenges of life as they enhance their intimacy with God
- Facilitate open discussions in safe non-judgmental environments focused on personal development and spiritual growth.
