Adrian Perks, adoptive parent and child and adolescent psychotherapist at Family Futures, discusses the importance of parent support, particularly for adoptive parents. He explains his training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and NVR (Non-Violent Resistance), emphasizing that NVR is not about restraint but therapeutic parenting techniques.
