Premier League Week 1 Recap

Tommy Fleetwood finally tasted victory on the PGA Tour, but should golfers really care about winning? Frank and Eddie break down all of the action from the opening weekend of the 2024/25 Premier League season. Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Spurs all got off to winning starts, but should Arsenal be concerned by their lacklustre display against Manchester United? The big stories of the weekend came from Newcastle United and Brentford, where Alexander Isak and Yoane Wissa are desperately trying to force moves. Plus, Joe Flacco and Daniel Jones are named starters for Week 1 of the NFL season, but should Browns and Colts fans be happy with those decisions? And Eddie has another parenting question.    

Frank and Eddie start things off by getting to some listener feedback, but Eddie continues to have run-ins with disruptive children on planes and trains. Taylor Swift went on the New Heights podcast to announce her new album, but Eddie explains why he doesn't quite get the Taylor Swift height and is more concerned by Travis Kelce's hair.  Things then move on to the full preview of the 2025/26 Premier League Season. For the first time in podcast history, Eddie is predicting that Liverpool will defend their title and be crowned Premier League Champions this season, but can Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester City throw up a serious challenge? The promoted sides look set to struggle again, but Leeds United may have enough to survive at the expense of Wolves or Brentford. Plus, our bold predictions for the season, including Haaland, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Keith Andrews.
