On this episode of Neon Galactic, I’m joined by comedian, author, podcaster and mystic Jeremy Vaeni, whose several books use humor and insight to frame the bizarre and often mystifying experiences that have punctuated his life.Vaeni was featured prominently in “How To Think Impossibly,” the most recent book by Rice University Professor Jeffrey Kripal, who names Vaeni as one of his teachers in the art of embracing and understanding the impossible.Kripal, who has been featured on this show multiple times, is to my mind the pre-eminent thinker on the UFO/NHI subject.He celebrates Vaeni’s dissection of the phenomenon, and his arrival at a non-dualistic, or monist, interpretation for the seemingly absurd menu of often conflicting phenomena.In this conversation, we discuss Vaeni’s experiences, the road that led him to a spiritual interpretation, his critique of figures like Stanford scientist Garry Nolan and others, as well as his eventual discovery of Jiddu Krishnamurti as the key to understanding himself and the universe.We also discuss the role trauma played in keying off these experiences, and why he doesn’t believe experiencers are chosen for any physical difference in their brains or bodies.Vaeni, a long-time podcaster and talk show host, even turns the tables on me and asks how I’ve arrived at my interpretation, such as it is, of the phenomenon.Overall, this was a challenging and fruitful conversation. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we sit down with retired Lt. Col. John Blitch, a warrior-scholar and experiencer who has come forward in recent months to attest to his extraordinary encounters and pursue disclosure.Blitch is a former commander of a Pershing II nuclear missile battery, a special forces commander, and an expert in robotics, human cognition, and computer science, having worked with the Defense Advanced Research Products Agency (DARPA) and the White House Office of Science and a Technology Policy.He is one of the highest-ranking officers ever to come forward as an experiencer of NHI contact.His experiences began in childhood, and include a bedroom visitation with a mantis being, as well as an apparent abduction and missing time while mountain biking. On this episode of Neon Galactic, I sit down with experiencer and researcher Julian Thorne to talk about his efforts to chart the archetypal influences at play in the stars and planets, and how those primal forces seem to shape the initiatory experiences of individual men and women. Through his own transformative alien abduction, Thorne was alerted to the mysterious nature of the human soul and our experience here on this planet. This initiation led him to more than a decade’s worth of research into the work of Carl Jung, Richard Tarnas, Joseph Campbell, and many others, shaping his worldview and endowing him with insight as to our current predicament as a species. Using that research, and an affinity for artificial intelligence, Thorne built a bot that he has deployed in a deepening suite of inquiries, the AstroMythic Map. After inputting the natal charts of some of the 20th Century’s prominent contact experiencers, Thorne unveiled a broad pattern of commonality, a kind of resonance that occurred amid planetary influences, repeat astral offenders that dictate the type and depth of given experiences a person has, or even whether they can have them at all.Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Charon and Saturn play recurring roles, either to make a given soul available for initiation, or to lock them in a kind of ontological prison, where such experiences are not available. We talk about his epiphany, his book, “Take Me To Your Belief System,” and how all these realizations are helping him to understand our current moment as a species, and where it’s all likely heading in the near future. We are in the midst of an initiatory wave, one of many that have occurred over the centuries, and if we refuse the call, we can expect a rising set of consequences whose ultimate aim is to push us toward realization. We also talk about the use of artificial intelligence for this kind of work, and his efforts to ensure that hallucination or confabulation did not taint his results. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview author Kristina Amelong about her new book, “What My Brother Knew,” a memoir covering the death of her young brother and his precognitive vision of that event.The book, scheduled for public release in May, reveals how Jay Amelong, then a 13-year-old in Madison, WI, somehow caught a glimpse of his own death and warned his family repeatedly in advance.He was hit by a car and killed by a driver that seemed to suffer a strange loss of consciousness just as he was turning a corner. Kristina Amelong, a teenager at the time, was devastated by the tragedy, and spent the next several decades struggling with her feelings, and working through that pain, as well as other traumas she suffered as a child. As the book relates, unprocessed grief and buried memories come to the surface as Amelong ultimately faces her addictions and builds a happy life and family of her own.By interviewing relatives and friends of Jay, she discovers that the short life of little brother had an outsized and positive impact on many who knew him. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we’re joined by author and anthropologist-futurist Eric Wargo to discuss his fascinating and provocative new book, “Becoming Timefaring: Time Travel and the Human Future.”Wargo has made a name for himself through his theories surrounding the nature of time and human consciousness. He’s published several books in that subject area that examine how causation may work both forward and backward in time and how that reality may manifest in lives human lives.This new book expands the argument to point out that rather than being impossible, as we‘be long been told, time travel is an achievable goal for our species, one that may be much closer than we think.We discuss what technologies may enable such travel, both for physical human beings and for information.Wargo here describes the several deep cognitive errors humans have made around time-travel and the possibilities of such travelers undermining space-time.
