Christmas Edition

Our favorite actresses from Hollywood's Golden Era who never won an Academy Award for their work. Shar and Bill each pick their top three. The episode includes clips from our favorite films featuring these wonderful performers. 

Two retired professors, Ron Cassell and Keith Cushman team up for their 17th year hosting a classic film program, 'Prof do the Movies' at UNC-Greensboro. They talk about how their love of films began and talk about their college class. This podcast also includes a spirited discussion of Fred Astaire's singing ability.

We interview film historian Jeanine Basinger, author of 'The Movie Musical.'  We also hear singer Tony DeSare sing a few bars of a famous Fred Astaire song.
