Factor B (aka Highlandr) is leading the world as one of modern trance’s most compelling storytellers—an artist whose music is driven by integrity, passion, and a deep respect for the roots of the genre. That ethos has translated into major fan-voted success through A State of Trance. In 2021, Sea of Thoughts surged to #5 in the ASOT Countdown, marking an early breakthrough. Momentum continued with #3 Tune of the Year in 2022 for Other Side (Factor B’s In Loving Memory Remix), followed by a landmark #2 in the ASOT Top 50 of 2024 with The Girl With Her Head In The Clouds (Ellie’s Song)—a defining moment that firmly established him among the scene’s most respected artists. On stage, Factor B has taken this uncompromising sound to some of the world’s most respected platforms, including Tomorrowland, Creamfields, EDC Mexico as well as main stage performances at Dreamstate, A State of Trance, Subculture, Luminosity Beach Festival,  just to name a few, where his uplifting melody-led sets have become synonymous with depth and musical journey.

Factor B is also an album artist at heart. His debut long-form release, Factor B Presents Theatre of the Mind (2021), introduced a dual-alias concept that bridged uplifting trance with deeper, cinematic textures.
