Factor B (aka Highlandr) is leading the world as one of modern trance’s most compelling storytellers—an artist whose music is driven by integrity, passion, and a deep respect for the roots of the genre. That ethos has translated into major fan-voted success through A State of Trance. In 2021, Sea of Thoughts surged to #5 in the ASOT Countdown, marking an early breakthrough. Momentum continued with #3 Tune of the Year in 2022 for Other Side (Factor B’s In Loving Memory Remix), followed by a landmark #2 in the ASOT Top 50 of 2024 with The Girl With Her Head In The Clouds (Ellie’s Song)—a defining moment that firmly established him among the scene’s most respected artists. Factor B is also an album artist at heart. His debut long-form release, Factor B Presents Theatre of the Mind (2021), introduced a dual-alias concept that bridged uplifting trance with deeper, cinematic textures.
