A disturbing story out of the Pocono Mountains; police say a 27-year-old woman stabbed her 3-year-old son and her husband to death while they were staying at the Great Wolf Lodge in the Pocono Mountains. Metallica Harrison has been charged with two counts of murder after she called 9-1-1 to tell the dispatcher she “needed help dying” and that her husband and son were “already gone.” The family had been on an extended vacation at the resort and while police have no known motive in this case, what Harrison said after they arrived, sounded eerliy similar to the Lindsay Clancy case.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

President Trump posted a string of bizarre, and at times offensive, posts over the past several hours.  He first reposted video of a 23-year-old British man mauled to death over the weekend by a tiger after entering the animal’s zoo enclosure. Then, Trump posted an AI video of himself, in the exact same position as the man, but in his video, Trump wins a wrestling match with the same tiger. Trump also posted another video clip of big cats mauling people, without a caption or an explanation.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Trump’s new press secretary, 41-year-old Katie Zacharia is becoming her own headline after making her debut today in her first press conference. Zacharia looked and sounded nervous in her first outing infront of the White House Press Corps, reading from her notes and only calling on three reporters, all from conservative networks. She shockingly only held a 13 minute press briefing, which left news outlets without the ability to ask any questions and the resulting headlines are now questioning just how long Zacharia will last in the position.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Shortly after Trump’s new press secretary made news by revealing the President asked Kimberly Guilfoyle to resign her position as U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Guilfoyle kinda sorta made a resignation announcement on X. The former ambassador didn’t use the word “resign”, but instead acknowledged that her “time as Ambassador may be coming to an end.”  Guilfoyle also addressed “the recent allegations” against her, calling them false, saying she intends to vigorously defend her name.  Meantime the Trump donor who Guilfoyle allegedly begged to pay her American Express bill is making the media rounds, saying he intends to sue Guilfoyle for defamation in the coming days. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This is the first time Governor Ron DeSantis has ever canceled a planned execution in his nearly 8 years in office. While DeSantis did not officially give a reason for the stay of William Lee Thompson’s execution, an anti death penalty group describes Thompson as “gravely ill, has dementia” and requires complete assistance for basic activities. Thompson has spent nearly 5 years on death row for the heinous and brutal beating death of 23-year-old Sally Iverson, but according to reports, the 74-year-old lacks the mental capacity to understand his situation and the reason why he’s on death row.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

At Noon today, Florida is set to execute a man who killed his cellmate while he was sleeping to upgrade his prison accommodations. 63-year-old James “Chickenhead” Robertson bragged on a Netflix documentary that he planned and premeditated the murder of his cellmate, Frank Hart, so he could be moved to death row. Robertson pleaded guilty to first degree murder, waived his right to appeal, and asked for the death penalty back in 2008, and today Florida is carrying out his requested punishment.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

54-year-old actress Selma Blair pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault for allegedly kicking a police officer and a nurse after she was removed from a Delta flight following what’s been described as a violent incident.
