Hr: Tržnica u Iloku bila je živahna.
En: The market in Ilok was lively.

Hr: Stotine ljudi su šetale između štandova.
En: Hundreds of people wandered between the stalls.

Hr: Neki su nosili torbe pune voća i povrća, dok su drugi birali najljepše bundeve.
En: Some carried bags full of fruits and vegetables, while others picked the prettiest pumpkins.

En: The air was filled with the scent of apples and freshly baked cakes.

Hr: Ivana je voljela tržnicu.
En: Ivana loved the market.

Hr: Voljela je ljude, boje, mirise.
En: She loved the people, the colors, the smells.

Hr: Međutim, danas je imala poseban zadatak.
En: However, today she had a special task.

En: She needed to find the best ingredients for a family celebration.

Hr: "Pogledaj one kruške, Miroslave", rekla je Ivana svom susjedu.
En: "Look at those pears, Miroslave," Ivana said to her neighbor.

Hr: Miroslav je bio s njom.
En: Miroslav was with her.

En: Always smiling, ready for a joke, he was the opposite of her.

Hr: "Kruške?
En: "Pears?

Hr: Hm, meni izgledaju kao bundeve!
En: Hmm, they look like pumpkins to me!"

Hr: " našalio se Miroslav i nasmijao Ivanu.
En: jokingly said Miroslav, making Ivana laugh.

Hr: Ali bilo je puno posla.
En: But there was much work to do.

En: The market was crowded, and supplies were dwindling fast.

En: "Let me give you a task, Miroslave," she said decisively.

En: "You should find fresh honey and that homemade wine that grandma loves."

Hr: "Miroslav je kimnuo.
En: Miroslav nodded.

Hr: "Vaša želja je moj zadatak!
En: "Your wish is my command!"

En: He headed towards the honey section with a smile.

En: Ivana could finally choose the other ingredients in peace.

Hr: No, najvažnije su bile jabuke.
En: But the most important thing was the apples.

En: She planned to make grandma's famous apple pie.

Hr: Njezine misli prekinuo je glas.
En: Her thoughts were interrupted by a voice.

En: In front of her stood an older lady, also interested in the last bunch of apples.

En: Ivana felt a slight unease, but someone unexpectedly helped her.

Hr: Bio je to Miroslav!
En: It was Miroslav!

Hr: Namjerno je zainteresirao gospođu nekom pričom o čokoladnim kuglicama.
En: He purposely entertained the lady with a story about chocolate truffles.

Hr: Ivana je iskoristila trenutak i uzela jabuke.
En: Ivana seized the moment and took the apples.

En: "I see you succeeded," said Ivana gratefully when they moved away from the crowd.

Hr: "Nije to ništa", rekao je Miroslav.
En: "It's nothing," said Miroslav.

Hr: "Ponekad je smijeh najbolji alat.
En: "Sometimes laughter is the best tool."

Hr: "Ivana je otišla kući s misijom.
En: Ivana went home with a mission.

Hr: Uspjela je.
En: She succeeded.

En: The ingredients were bought, the dinner would be perfect.

Hr: Zahvaljujući Miroslavu, naučila je važnu lekciju.
En: Thanks to Miroslav, she learned an important lesson.

Hr: Ponekad je lakše s osmijehom i malo igre.
En: Sometimes it's easier with a smile and a bit of play.

Hr: Tako su Ivana i Miroslav napustili tržnicu u pobjedi.
En: And so, Ivana and Miroslav left the market victorious.

En: And Ivana realized that joy and unexpected help can bring happiness even in the simplest tasks.

Hr: Svjetlucave boje jeseni i osmijesi obilježili su njezin povratak kući s torbama punim blaga.
En: The shimmering colors of autumn and smiles marked her return home with bags full of treasures.
