Episode 50 The Serendipitous Jen Roadtrip Day 2... The Grand Canyon Part 1

The Serendipitous Jen & Carlos take off from Sedona and head up to Zion. Stops along the way include Horseshoe Bend and The Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona.  The sights they see are unbelievable and wow Jen with every bend on every highway. Jen knows how lucky she is to have acquired all this good fortune in this lifetime to be able to take off on some great adventures like this. Jen is humbly grateful for everything. So much more to see, let's keep going!

The Serendipitous Jen and Carlos travel their way from Williams down to Sedona. Wow, Sedona is breathtaking for sure. They take a 3 hour round trip hike through Boynton Canyon in search of the healing properties of a vortex. They climb to the top of the ridge to find caves and hieroglyphics. The sights they see are spectacular and the people that they meet along the way are so much fun, too. 

The Serendipitous Jen and Carlos hop on again to share a recap of their time spent in Sedona. They share about the hike and what it felt like to be in the presence of such a beautiful place. They have a new game that Carlos made up just for the time they spend driving in the van! 

The Serendipitous Jen and Carlos are off to a great start on Day 2, (this is part 1) in the snow, driving from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon. They board the Grand Canyon Railway Train at 8:30 and have an epic day with lots of photo ops off cliffs and elk sightings and a very entertaining train ride. 

The Serendipitous Jen and Carlos recap and chat a bit about their day spent on the train to The Grand Canyon and the day that they had together. It starting off kind of rocky, with Carlos being so mad that fog had rolled in and he wasn't able to see anything! The creator cleared up the fog for him and gave hime small glimpse of the majestic canyon. He could not believe his eyes! Hear it from him how he felt and hopefully this will encourage others to take that exit next time you drive along highway 40 and go see The Grand Canyon.

The Serendipitous Jen and Carlos hop in the new Sprinter van to hit the road for a seven day roadtrip to include The Grand Canyon, Sedona, Antelope Canyon, The Horseshoe, Zion, Bryce Canyon and Vegas. Day 1...leaving for the roadtrip is always fun! Jen is looking forward to showing these natural wonders to Carlos for his first time. Listen as the two just have a chat about what's coming ahead in the next seven days.

The Serendipitous Jen chats with friend Melanie for a walk to the bank and to get a smoothie. They catch up on "Paris guy" and Jen admits that ADD may be the culprit to why she doesn't last long on treadmills. She has this innate ability to get bored really quickly. She just wants to see things and be out & about in the neighborhood and her community. Jen is struggling right now with some recent muscle gain she's been working hard to achieve and says the jury is still out on whether she likes it or not. Melanie and Jen chat about the effects that social media can have on couples and women in general. Jen admits that she's not sure if she is supposed to have big injected filler cheeks and blonde hair to be attractive or is that just for some guys who like that look? They both agree that relationships are hard and confusing. Jen wishes that they could just be easy. Jen's philosophy is still..."Just love on me, accept my love and let's have fun"!! That would be the best. Too bad it's not really that simple. Melanie gives an update on "Paris guy" and now we wait to see where this goes from here.Jen announced that she is going on a roadtrip with Carlos during Thanksgiving week and is going to be updating daily along the journey. The Serendipitous Jen asks her friend Jessica to join her on her morning walk throughout their new neighborhood that includes some great hills for building some great butts! During the last 20 minutes Jen asks her to join her for an impromptu podcast episode. Of course Jen has the best friends & Jessica agreed. Per usual, Jen bounces all over the place in their chat & talks about a typical work day for Jessica and some signs of narcissism and what that looks like in the workplace and in relationships. Jen opens up to Jessica that she misses here farm space & doesn't want to feel stuck in this lifetime. Together, they may have just come up with the best plan to make sure that doesn't happen, ever! Enjoy!

The serendipitous Jen finally gets to chat with her friend Melanie about how her Paris escapade ended... or did it? Jen and Melanie join each other on a Saturday night for drinks and dinner, during their walk home, Jen decides to start recording...what a better time to get down to the nitty gritty of the whole Paris adventure that Melanie had.

The Serendipitous Jen had to leave Episode 46 in a hurry, but comes back with this episode. Melanie and Jen finish up their walk and talk and cannot wait to hang out again after Melanie goes away on another adventure coming up real soon.
