Baroness Lola Young was handed to a stranger at just eight weeks old. She grew up in care homes, battled racism, rejection and loneliness and despite it all, ended up in the House of Lords.
Lola opens up about feeling unloved as a child, reading the care files that changed her life forever, surviving trauma, and how she became one of Britain’s most respected voices on modern slavery.
She doesn’t look her age at 75, but has all of the stress she’s endured throughout her extraordinary life aged her faster?
