Finding Joy with Guest: Rev. Stephanie Bradbury, MDiv.

Fr. Nathan introduces us to the Rev. Stephanie C. Bradbury, MDiv, an  Episcopal priest, who is drawn to the bright overlap between matter and spirit and how life in this reality is intertwined with the transcendent.  The Rev. Stephanie Bradbury holds a Master of Divinity from the Yale Divinity School, a Certificate of Anglican Studies from the Berkeley Divinity School, both located in New Haven, CT, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA. She was ordained to the Diaconate in 1996 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation and to the Priesthood in 1997 at the Church of the Redeemer, both located in Baltimore, MD, and has been active in the dioceses of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maryland, as well as the Convocation of Churches in Europe, where she served in Lithuania. An accomplished business leader and former CEO, he is skilled in a broad range of leadership and business issues.He earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and his doctorate in Education from the University of St. Thomas. He also holds a degree in spiritual counseling from the New Seminary.When not immersed in NDEs, Scott is passionate about the sport of curling and all things Scottish. Lisa collaborated with Dr. Raymond Moody to research final words that not only painted a world unseen but also featured language patterns unique to the end of life.Lisa Smartt, MA, is a linguist, educator, and poet. She is the author of Words at the Threshold: What We Say When We’re Nearing Death (New World Library 2017). The book is based on data collected through The Final Words Project, wwwfinalwordsproject.org, an ongoing study devoted to gathering and interpreting the mysterious language at end of life. She has worked closely with Raymond Moody, guided by his research into language, particularly unintelligible speech. They have co-facilitated presentations about language and consciousness at universities, hospices and conferences.
