Your art doesn't have to be finished before collectors can become part of its story. You're already putting thought, care, and intention into every stage of your creative process, and that process itself can become a meaningful way to connect with collectors. I once sold a sunflower painting when it was barely more than a background and a promise, while still keeping complete creative control over the finished piece. That experience became the foundation of what I call a Wet Paint Sale, a way to invite collectors in earlier and give them a genuine reason to act without relying on discounts or manufactured scarcity. I'll unpack how you can use works in progress, thoughtful email marketing, and real deadlines to create anticipation and make selling your art feel more aligned with the way you already create. 💡 You'll Learn How to offer unfinished artwork for sale while maintaining your creative vision How to create genuine urgency using real deadlines instead of discounts How sharing your work in progress can deepen the connection between collectors and your art 🎧 Tune in and discover how inviting collectors into your creative process can open up a new, more natural way to sell your art. 🎙️About Miriam Schulman Miriam Schulman is an artist business coach, working artist, and author of Artpreneur: The Step-by-Step Guide to Making a Sustainable Living from Your Creativity, published by HarperCollins Leadership. Your signature style grows stronger when you give yourself permission to be influenced while still trusting your own point of view. You don't have to create in a vacuum to make work that feels original and unmistakably yours. The artists, stories, music, films, and ideas that move you can all become part of your creative vocabulary when you filter them through your own experiences, values, and obsessions. Using Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey and its influences from Goya, ancient mythology, cinema, music, and art history, I'll unpack how inspiration can become a meaningful ingredient in your work rather than the whole recipe, so you can develop a signature style with greater clarity and confidence. 💡 You'll Learn How to draw from artistic influences while developing a signature style that feels authentically yours. The right price can help your art and your business grow in alignment with the artist you are becoming. You have invested time, care, and creative energy into your work, and your pricing can reflect that commitment without becoming a measure of your personal worth.
