This is the terrifying true story of “Shadow,” a faceless entity that appeared when a girl was only six years old and never stopped watching her.
It began in Florenceville, New Brunswick. A small, quiet Canadian village. One day, while playing upstairs, she heard her name called. Thinking it was her father, she ran to the railing and looked down. Standing in the entryway was not her father. It wasn’t even a man. It was a faceless figure—pure blackness shaped like a human, staring back at her. She screamed, ran, and hid. But the memory never faded.
And strangely, he didn’t always bring fear. Sometimes, when he showed himself fully, she felt calm. Safe. But when her boyfriend stayed over, that calm curdled into jealousy. The shadow became angry, territorial—even attacking her boyfriend in the form of a void-like cat that leapt for his face before vanishing mid-air.
What was he? A spirit? A demon? A guardian? Or something else entirely? Whatever he was, he followed her across homes, across borders, across years. Intelligent. Emotional. Obsessive. And though she finally told him to leave—she knows silence doesn’t mean absence. It means waiting.
