Libby is tired and does not feel much like getting up. She was awake late studying and reading a new book. Margherita's head-butts her to get her moving just before her mom starts calling her for breakfast. Everett enjoys school but isn’t enjoying the extra responsibility that Grade 4 brings. When he learns that he has homework to do over the weekend, he cannot believe it. Red and the other girls have solved the playground mystery and think Mr. McCaskill probably arranged the whole thing to get them to give credit to the custodian, Mr. LeClair. Once Red is home, she eats dinner and talks about her day before heading to her room to relax and read some University-level science books. Red remembers that she needs to take Dr. Hart’s box back to school the next day, so she gets it out from under her bed.
