Released last November (2025), this episode shows interviews of Paul George and Ringo at the time they were filming the Anthology in the mid-90s. We see their thoughts and feelings about looking back on the Beatles. We also get extended looks at the recording the John Lennon Demos "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love." We get a surprisingly happy George, Ringo warmly telling Paul to quit horsing around and a generally sunny time. The panel goes over the recent documentary ONE TO ONE: JOHN & YOKO. This is a look at John's only real solo concert, which he did at Madison Square Garden in 1972 to benefit a children's hospital. The doc also takes a lot of the news issues of the day which were influencing John and his struggles with immigration at the time.  We're amazed at realizing how intense the nightly news was at this time, and it gave us new perspective on John's more politically minded songs and activism. The panel goes very deep on Anthology 4, the "new" volume of rare tracks released as a sequel to the 1994 documentary / music release Beatles Anthology. I put "new" in quotes since many of these tracks were included on the re-mixes of Revolver, White Album, Let It Be and Abbey Road. It's a fun listen. The panel watches the 1967 film Magical Mystery Tour. Originally a television special for the BBC on Boxing Day (day after Christmas, Americans) it is now seen as the Beatles third movie. A largely improvised film led by Paul, the film is seen as.... a mixed bag! A lot of the sequences are kinda, how do I put this, boring? The panel goes over Paul's 2005 solo album Chaos and Creation in the Backyard. This was a big change of pace for Paul. He teamed up with Radiohead's producer Nigel Godrich and produced a series of mostly quiet, introspective and beautiful songs. These were our rules: Nothing that was on the "red" (1962-1966) or "blue" (1967-1970) albums, including the 2023 expanded versions. Nothing that was on the Beatles "1" compilation. Our tribute episode to Brian Wilson, the leader of the Beach Boys, who died on June 11, 2025. We talk briefly , in our usual "mostly informed" way, about the relationship and influence between the Beatles and the Beach Boys. We talk in general about the incredibly transformation the Beach Boys' music went through over time. We talk about Brian's mental health struggles.  And then we take turns sharing a bunch of great Beach Boys songs! The music sharing starts at around 25 minutes in. In honor of its anniversary we look at Paul McCartney's version (basically) -- Let It Be... Naked. This is a version of the Let It Be album with much of producer Phil Spector's production removed. He was the final producer of the original Let It Be album and made a ton of great music. He was also an abusive man who committed murder!
