In my daily job as a MTB skills coach and instructor trainer I hear SPEED IS YOUR FRIEND a lot - and while it does have its truth, it also has its limits and dangers. Are men or women better at coaching? What to look for in an exceptional MTB Coach? Are racers good/better coaches? Are women or men better at coaching mountain bike skills? Are instructor certifications important and which is the best certification? Are race qualifications an indication for good coaching?
