He was born in Ghana, West Africa and moved to Cuba where he did his secondary and high school education and graduated with a medical degree at the University of Havana Faculty of Medicine. After graduating from Cuba he worked in Dominica and St Lucia in the Eastern Caribbean and at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Bermuda before going to further to specialize in Pediatrics. He completed his pediatric specialist training in a US Pediatric Accredited Program at the San Juan Municipal Hospital, Puerto Rico. He moved back to Bermuda in 2010 to work with Dr. Peter Perinchief at Edgewood for 15 years. He is experienced in both general pediatrics and neonatology. Dr. Nawab is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics.
