Kelly drew inspiration from her experiences caring for young patients in the hospital, and how she used a stuffed animal to build trust and comfort with a scared toddler.  Kelly emphasized the vital role nurses play in forming lasting relationships with their patients, especially children facing life-threatening illnesses.
