Come along with us on a journey through child centered care with an expert in the field: Rob Fox, The Cambridge Manny 💛

In this interview we will discuss what is child centered care, sometimes called child led learning. It's easy to define a child's care by our predefined ideas or thoughts about a manner, but allowing children to become instructors of their own learning allows them to discover themselves while you guide and help them along.

The benefits of child centered learning an care are numerous.

Children learn when children play, and children play in their own unique ways. Giving a child ownership of their own experience, care, and learning, makes it more enjoyable and more engaging at the same time.

According to Rob, there is a tremendous benefit of child led learning. This involves integrating learning into situations that the child might find themselves in on a day-to-day basis. You can teach them that they can learn while doing things that they enjoy in an environment where they are safe and are interested in being.

It can be hard to implement child centered care, so give this interview a listen to get some ideas on how to implement child led learning.
