Jo Johnson’s explorations in sound have ranged from free-form punk with Huggy Bear in the 90s, to underground techno in the 00s, and, for the last decade, deeply expressive electronic minimalism that pays tribute to the many women who pioneered this genre. She has released with respected labels including Further Records and Mysteries of the Deep in the US and Frequency Domain and Castles in Space in the UK. Her latest project, Alterations, is a 'slow' album that she is recording and self-releasing track-by-track throughout 2025. Back in 2023 we were lucky enough to release an exceptional podcast from Timnah - our ears were hooked! We immediately felt the potential and knew that she would be the DJ to provide the perfect festival afternoon soundtrack to our beloved forest. Crescent label head Labyrinthine joins us for this session direct from Tokyos iconic 'Womb'. Recorded live on November 29th 2024 as part of FORCE - Paradigma Records’ showcase. Born in Poland and based in London, this DJ/producer is also the co-owner of Crescent London - a label synonymous with deep, hypnotic techno. Deeply ingrained in the London electronic music scene and beyond, his DJ sets are immersive sonic journeys, weaving energy, depth, and contrast between darkness and light. A key figure in the UK underground, he has been a driving force in the scene, regularly hosting events across London, as well as in Berlin and Manchester. His distinct sound has recently taken him to legendary venues like About Blank in Berlin, Womb in Tokyo and Buenos Aires. Fresh off back-to-back tours in Japan and South America, he wrapped up this exciting chapter of his career with the release of his debut EP, “Fading Obelisk” - the perfect finishing touch to his journey so far. Remma is a DJ and founder of the DIY station ITMOTR Radio, which has played a significant role in shaping the music culture of the outer Eastern corner of the Netherlands. Remma has played at institutions such as Dekmantel, Garage Noord and had multiple appearances at De School, where he was selected to play one of the final sets at the legendary ‘Het Einde’ closing party. For MNMT 458 the young virtuoso shows skills and finesse behind the decks like that of a seasoned veteran, weaving together obscurities from by-gone eras with the freshest cuts into one seamless trip.
