Today's episode is sharing my own college experience going to community college and things I wish I would have done differently. Being a creative 17year old was difficult because I didn't want to go to college but I didn't have resources or know the things I do now so, I felt "obligated" to go because that is what you do right?? I talk about how I wish I would have went to trade school and not have went to college at all.. I wish I would have cherished that time a little more. I enjoyed college but I didn't enjoy college lol. I hated the actual school part of it and it wasn't for me. Let's talk about discernment and why it is so important to have especially in the self development/spiritual community. In this episode I talk about why it is important to have discernment in your everyday life and also on all the "coaches" that try to get you to buy their courses etc. I think when we are just learning about something new in any aspect of our life we tend to put the people that know more up on a pedestal and forget that we are just as powerful and knowing! In my opinion there is a lot of misinformation out there and people that don't have the best intentions. I am share my own experiences with spending so much money on people and how I built up a relationship with myself which therefore made my discernment much stronger. You can do this too! Today's episode I get vulnerable with some things I have been going through and how I am getting to the root of why I sometimes feel like "something is missing". I talk about fulfilling voids and how we sometimes see things that other people have and think that we too should want those things too. The downfall to social media is comparing ourselves to people's lives that may seem perfect and then questioning our own. I think it can be hard to navigate what you actually want at the end of the day and it is so easy to compare and constantly feel like something is missing when we do that. In this episode I am going to be talking about the famous quote "you teach others how to treat you" and my own experiences with walking away from relationships that didn't serve me any longer. I touch on romantic relationships, friendships and family so this episode is for everyone! I know how difficult it can be to decide to end a relationship with someone you really care about but at the end of the day you have to choose yourself and if you are not being treated how you deserve to be treated then it is not worth it. I talk about knowing when the relationship is not worth your energy anymore and things I have done to help me realize that. This episode is about changing the stories we tell ourselves and how it's never too late to make a change. I think we all get caught up with the stories we tell ourselves or the stories that were told to us growing up and it is very easy to feel defeated with those stories if they aren't positive ones. I know so many people that feel like "it is too late" for them and I once felt/still feel this way sometimes too but that is not the truth. The truth is that we have control over our narrative. If we aren't happy with our lives and have a hard time making those changes then maybe it is the story or the feelings that we associate with that change.
