Jewish Viewers Say Jesus Isn't the Messiah. Here's my Response

Does Psalm 22:16 really say "they pierced my hands and feet," or is that a Christian mistranslation of "like a lion"? Viewers who know Hebrew and Greek pushed back on a recent Psalm 22 video. Dr. Brown reads their sharpest comments and answers them. He walks through the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Septuagint, the Hebrew words for "dig," "stab," and "pierce," and a striking comment from Rabbi Yonatan Eybeschütz on Exodus 21:6 and Psalm 40. He also takes on the claim that Psalm 22 is only a cry of anguish and not prophecy. Dr. Brown responds to several Jewish viewers' comments head-on. They ask whether Jesus abolished the law of Moses, why he didn't bring world peace, why so many Christians persecuted Jews, and whether he failed to fulfill a single messianic prophecy. The answers walk through the Messiah's two-phase mission, first priestly and then royal, with Micah 7 and the Mishnah, Isaiah 53, and Psalm 110, and then ask a simple question: what other Jewish man fits the profile? Are Jews secretly planning to enforce the seven Noahide laws and behead Christians as idolaters? With the Noahide laws back in the news after a Ben Shapiro clip, and a world Noahide gathering coming up in Jerusalem, this video separates fact from fiction. It covers what the rabbis actually teach, where the death penalty idea comes from, and why the beheading plot is an internet myth, plus why the Noahide path still isn't the way of salvation. If Isaiah 53 describes Israel suffering at the hands of the nations, why does the same chapter say the Lord chose to crush the servant? A caller raises this tension in the traditional Jewish reading. Dr. Brown reads the chapter as a traditional Jew would understand it, shows where that interpretation breaks down, discusses why even the rendering "because of our sins" is still substitutionary, and describes why the passage fits only the Messiah. ~~~FRONTL|NE Newsletter: https://thelineoffire.org/newsletterDonate: https://thelineoffire.org/donate-one-timeX: https://twitter.com/DrMichaelLBrownYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LFTVDiscover Messiah: https://www.youtube.com/@DiscoverMessiahInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/drmichaelbrownFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ASKDrBrownWebsite: https://thelineoffire.org Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Will Jesus really reign on earth for a thousand years, or is the millennial kingdom only a spiritual reign in heaven? Answering a caller, Dr. Michael Brown explains the amillennial view, then makes the case from Acts 3, Isaiah 2, Isaiah 11, and Psalm 37 that the prophets described an earthly kingdom that’s still future. You’ll also hear why that earthly kingdom matters and what it will finally expose about the human heart. ~~~FRONTL|NE Newsletter: https://thelineoffire.org/newsletterDonate: https://thelineoffire.org/donate-one-timeX: https://twitter.com/DrMichaelLBrownYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LFTVDiscover Messiah: https://www.youtube.com/@DiscoverMessiahInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/drmichaelbrownFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ASKDrBrownWebsite: https://thelineoffire.org Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Dr. Brown explains what Yeshua meant when he said he came not to abolish the Torah or the Prophets, but to fulfill them. He shows you from Luke 24 that the whole Tanakh must be fulfilled in the Messiah, then walks through direct prophecies of suffering and glory. You will also see how the sacrifices, the high priest, Moses, David, and Psalm 22 find their fullness in him. ~~~FRONTL|NE Newsletter: https://thelineoffire.org/newsletterDonate: https://thelineoffire.org/donate-one-timeX: https://twitter.com/DrMichaelLBrownYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LFTVDiscover Messiah: https://www.youtube.com/@DiscoverMessiahInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/drmichaelbrownFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ASKDrBrownWebsite: https://thelineoffire.org Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Are followers of Jesus under the law or not, and does Matthew 5:19 contradict Paul? Responding to a caller, Dr. Michael Brown explains what “not under the law” really means, how the new covenant writes God’s moral law on our hearts, and why Acts 15 didn’t put Gentile believers under the whole Torah. You’ll see how Yeshua fulfills the Torah and why he and Paul preach the same message. ~~~FRONTL|NE Newsletter: https://thelineoffire.org/newsletterDonate: https://thelineoffire.org/donate-one-timeX: https://twitter.com/DrMichaelLBrownYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LFTVDiscover Messiah: https://www.youtube.com/@DiscoverMessiahInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/drmichaelbrownFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ASKDrBrownWebsite: https://thelineoffire.org Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Does the Talmud itself suggest the Messiah should have come 1800+ years ago? Dr. Michael Brown walks through Avodah Zarah 9a and its 6,000-year tradition, with 2,000 years of chaos, 2,000 years of Torah, and 2,000 years of Messiah, then works out the chronology from Abraham. You’ll see why the Talmud blames the delay on “our many sins,” and why he proposes instead that the Messiah came right on schedule and we didn’t recognize him. ~~~FRONTL|NE Newsletter: https://thelineoffire.org/newsletterDonate: https://thelineoffire.org/donate-one-timeX: https://twitter.com/DrMichaelLBrownYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LFTVDiscover Messiah: https://www.youtube.com/@DiscoverMessiahInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/drmichaelbrownFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ASKDrBrownWebsite: https://thelineoffire.org Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Why does Dr. Michael Brown pray in tongues—sometimes for hours? He walks through 1 Corinthians 14, why he nearly abandoned tongues for academic respectability, and how God restored that fire. You’ll see how praying in the Spirit builds him up, deepens communion, and often leads into travail and clearer direction from the Lord. ~~~FRONTL|NE Newsletter: https://thelineoffire.org/newsletterDonate: https://thelineoffire.org/donate-one-timeX: https://twitter.com/DrMichaelLBrownYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LFTVDiscover Messiah: https://www.youtube.com/@DiscoverMessiahInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/drmichaelbrownFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ASKDrBrownWebsite: https://thelineoffire.org Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. If Jesus is really the Messiah, why don’t the rabbis believe in him? Dr. Michael Brown gives a fair answer: some rabbis have come to faith, but most never ask the question, often know only caricatures of Yeshua, and work from a tradition-shaped definition of Messiah that screens him out.  ~~~FRONTL|NE Newsletter: https://thelineoffire.org/newsletterDonate: https://thelineoffire.org/donate-one-timeX: https://twitter.com/DrMichaelLBrownYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LFTVDiscover Messiah: https://www.youtube.com/@DiscoverMessiahInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/drmichaelbrownFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ASKDrBrownWebsite: https://thelineoffire.org Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
