John 1:43-51 Today we hear Jesus gather more followers; Phillip and Nathanael. Nathanael doubts that the the savior could come from the town of Nazareth. We hear Jesus' response to this and from it learn that Jesus knows what’s going on inside of us, our thoughts and feelings, and He knows what’s going on outside of us.  Jesus is such a powerful & loving father that there will never be a time when He does not know what’s going on in your life and that brings us comfort today. Micah 5:2, John 3:16-18, & Luke 2:1-7 Today we learn what a prophet is when we introduce Micah. We discuss how Micah specifically told where Jesus would be born and we follow the journey God put Mary and Joseph on to get them from Nazareth to Bethlehem. God used different people, events, etc but it allllllll happened just as He said it would. This story also drives home John 3:16-18; that God sent his son Jesus, not to condemn the World, but to save us through Jesus. What a precious gift this is! 2 Kings 3:20-25 Today’s episode continues our journey with Elisha and the three kings. When the Israelites were in need, God performed an amazing miracle—filling the land with water, even though there was no rain! The Moabites, the enemies of Israel, thought the water was blood and believed the armies had fought each other. They charged in, only to find the Israelites ready to fight! We are reminded of God’s power and ability to work in such mysterious ways. We use  a relatable example for kids to show them that God is always with them, actively working in their lives, even in ways they might not see right away. After receiving a double portion of Elijah's spirit, Elisha was empowered by God to perform twice as many miracles as his teacher! Today, we join Elisha at the beginning of his journey when three kings—Jehoram of Israel, Jehoshaphat of Judah, and the king of Edom—team up to fight the king of Moab. Their journey, however, quickly goes wrong as they find themselves lost and without water in the wilderness. In desperation, King Jehoshaphat suggests seeking guidance from a prophet.
