Episode 205 : Your Chart Knows Your Family's Secrets

In this episode of 'Is My Aura On Straight?', host Aycee Brown previews Venus in Scorpio as it enters retrograde from October 3 through November 15. She describes this transit as a six-week review with intimacy, trust, power dynamics, shared resources, debt, inheritance, and relationship/financial patterns all resurfacing for re-examination. Aycee advises listeners to avoid new relationships and major financial commitments. Instead, use this Venus in Scorpio period to close loops, with special attention on the full-moon-to-new-moon in-between phase with the Sun in Libra. Aycee then breaks down these themesvby life path numbers 1–9 and master numbers 11/22/33. She also explains the IC (Imum Coeli) as the private, family-of-origin inheritance opposite the Midheaven, outlining how IC signs reflect home "rules," wounds, and survival strategies. Aycee recommends that viewers identify their IC, check the fourth house and planets there, and learn to "play the cards" they were dealt. In this episode of 'Is My Aura On Straight?', host Aycee Brown opens with reflections on the September 22nd equinox, the shift from Virgo to Libra season's focus on relationships and lineage, and an upcoming Aries full moon. She highlights clearer relationship communication and a "thin veil" period with ancestors close before introducing her guest. Aycee interviews two-time Emmy-winning producer, writer, and Black and Published host Nikesha Elise Williams about ancestry, Black women's survival, and her novel The Seven Daughters of Dupree, which spans seven generations from enslaved ancestors in Alabama to a teen in 1995 seeking her father amid secrecy, grief, and what mothers couldn't say to daughters. Nikesha discusses Chicago's lessons on community, her mother's perseverance, the emotional cost of compartmentalizing as a TV news producer and a pivotal police-shooting video that made her stop watching such footage, leading to a transition from news to self-publishing and building an imprint. Nikesha also explains how she sees land as memory, her channel-like writing practices, and how her 2023 divorce coincided with rapid career breakthroughs including an agent offer, a grant, and a major book deal.   Purchase Nikesha's Book The Seven Daughters of Dupree HERE Connect with Nikesha at newwrites.com or at @nikesha_elise on Instagram, Threads, TikTok and Facebook.   Click To Join Magical Mutha Fucking Mondays To work with me, hire me, or sponsor the podcast, please reach out to [email protected] My Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ayceebrown/ My TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@ayceebrown

In this episode of 'Is My Aura On Straight?', host Aycee Brown says Virgo season is a "sorting phase" shifting from identifying patterns to asking "which feelings are mine?" She connects heightened dreams, specificity in readings, and ancestral contact to the Neptune sextile Pluto transit and a "thin veil," noting September can intensify these sensations. She describes inherited grief showing up as depression without an obvious cause, outsized anger, or emotional numbness, and explains unprocessed losses in a family line can be stored and passed down, often through women who had to be "strong." Aycee outlines where grief may surface by rising sign and by human design type, and suggests practices to release it: letting tears and feelings move through the body, lighting a candle, speaking to a spirit team, seeking therapy that can consider "is that even yours," and making September a time to reevaluate life choices, mourn unmet promises, and cultivate joy while psychic-development classes are forthcoming.   Click To Join Magical Mutha Fucking Mondays To work with me, hire me, or sponsor the podcast, please reach out to [email protected] My Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ayceebrown/ My TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@ayceebrown

In this episode of 'Is My Aura On Straight?', host Aycee Brown interviews Dr. Sarah L. Webb. Sarah is the founder of Colorism Healing and author of  Colorism: The Politics of Skin Tone and How We Get Free. Before getting into their conversation, Aycee opens with an energy check on the first new moon after eclipse season in Virgo, emphasizing clear intentions now that Neptune has moved from Pisces to Aries. Dr. Sarah L. Webb explains colorism as a global, relative phenomenon that operates across individual, relationship, institutional, and societal levels, shaping policing, education, medicine, and family dynamics through language, praise, scapegoating, and even bleaching practices. Aycee and Dr. Sarah L. Webb also discuss psychological wounding, "preference" as learned conditioning, denial and "reverse colorism" arguments, social media's role, and steps toward healing through acknowledgment, self-reflection, and vulnerable conversations.   Purchase Dr. Sarah L. In this episode of 'Is My Aura On Straight?', host Aycee Brown discusses lingering partial lunar eclipse effects (such as wild dreams, waking at 3 AM, or resurfacing memories) and suggests using birth charts and Claire Gallagher's book Body Astrology: A Cosmic Guide to Health, Healing, and Harnessing the Power of the Planets to understand how transits may affect your body. Aycee notes a Jupiter trine Saturn (Leo/Aries at 13 degrees) that brings rare "build" energy after months of clearing, but she cautions listeners to examine whose blueprint you're building from. With the waning/dark moon before the Virgo new moon on Sept 10th, Aycee emphasizes the thin-veil and introduces a five-week arc called "The Blood Remembers" to explore inherited survival strategies like hustle, silence, and vigilance to teach listeners how you can identify whose pattern you're carrying. She connects these themes to Human Design aura types, then urges listeners to be aware of current dangers and privilege differences for Black people. Aycee also recommends spiritual hygiene, grounding, limiting news, and creating an ancestral space/altar to ask questions and track subtle signs.   Click To Join Magical Mutha Fucking Mondays To work with me, hire me, or sponsor the podcast, please reach out to [email protected] My Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ayceebrown/ My TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@ayceebrown

In this episode of 'Is My Aura On Straight?', host Aycee Brown celebrates the 200th episode of "Is My Aura on Straight?" during a partial lunar eclipse in Pisces, sharing an eclipse energy check and brief guidance for each rising sign (Aries through Pisces) focused on themes like resurfacing grief, changing partnerships, career shifts, worth, creativity, and closing family or personal cycles. She reflects on this being a third podcast, nearly quitting, learning through vulnerability, and staying consistent despite life challenges, crediting Spirit, ancestors, and personal resilience. Aycee emphasizes taking small daily steps toward desires because time passes anyway. She recounts using corporate tuition benefits and stories of persistence, and encourages listeners to believe in themselves, clarify their "why," show up authentically, and pursue goals. She also mentions her book "Embody Your Magic," a vision for a media company, and plans to expand storytelling and conversations in the next chapter of the show.   Click To Join Magical Mutha Fucking Mondays To work with me, hire me, or sponsor the podcast, please reach out to [email protected] My Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ayceebrown/ My TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@ayceebrown

In this episode of 'Is My Aura On Straight?', host Aycee Brown discusses the solar eclipse, an upcoming lunar eclipse on the 28th, and how the "thin veil" can intensify dreams and spiritual sensitivity. She shares a "water under the bed" practice - placing a bowl of water (optional Himalayan salt) by the bed and a written question under the pillow - to receive answers in dreams within a few days through the practice of dream journaling. Aycee notes that Mercury is crossing the eclipse degree (20° Leo) on Aug. 20th and highlights an upcoming shift from Leo visibility to Virgo discernment. She outlines three listener types (trust nothing, trust everything, and read others but not self) then describes how intuition, anxiety, and ancestors differ: anxiety is loud, fast, looping, and urgent; intuition is quiet, specific, calm, and doesn't argue; ancestors feel present, repeat gently, and often come through songs, smells, and dreams. Using Human Design types (manifestor, generator, manifesting generator, projector, reflector), Aycee explains how each experiences knowing, anxiety, and ancestral guidance, and encourages practicing discernment, journaling, and asking, "Am I confused or am I negotiating?"   Click To Join Magical Mutha Fucking Mondays To work with me, hire me, or sponsor the podcast, please reach out to [email protected] My Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ayceebrown/ My TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@ayceebrown

In this episode of 'Is My Aura On Straight?', host Aycee Brown discusses a solar eclipse at 22° Leo on the South Node with Mercury and Jupiter, emphasizing it as a release point rather than a manifestation moment and advising listeners to surrender, stay grounded, and allow changes during eclipse season as sleep, dreams, and resurfacing issues intensify. Aycee breaks down themes by rising-sign modality: cardinal risings are urged to release how they initiate and redefine identity, with Aries/Libra focusing on creativity vs. community and Cancer/Capricorn on shifting money, worth, and security; fixed risings face direct pressure to let go of what they're holding onto out of fear, with Leo/Aquarius releasing performance in identity/relationships and Taurus/Scorpio shifting home/career foundations; mutable risings are asked to stop narrating endings and feel them, with Gemini/Sagittarius releasing stories and Virgo/Pisces reassessing work/health and over-serving. The episode centers on endings as grief for an identity, noticing ignored signs that escalate from whispers to events, and encouraging rituals and acceptance that what ended was already over.   Click To Join Magical Mutha Fucking Mondays To work with me, hire me, or sponsor the podcast, please reach out to [email protected] My Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ayceebrown/ My TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@ayceebrown

In this episode of 'Is My Aura On Straight?', host Aycee Brown welcomes listeners to the first full week of August (Aug 3–9) and describes Leo-season integration energy bridging into Virgo refinement and the pressure of Saturn in Aries creating deadlines and urgency around decisions. Aycee explains that many clients arriving in crisis or at a crossroads share stelliums - three or more planets in one house - described as concentrated, non-optional life work that can trigger breakdowns when ignored. She outlines common stellium themes: 1st house (identity and embodiment), 4th (roots, family patterns, generational healing), 10th (legacy, calling, public impact), 11th (community and belonging), and 12th (spiritual surrender and unseen work), noting 8th house crisis is often understood earlier. She criticizes shallow, crowd-sourced chart readings and the entertainment framing of sacred modalities. Aycee urges professional, in-depth interpretation, and invites listeners to book sessions: The Knowing   Click To Join Magical Mutha Fucking Mondays To work with me, hire me, or sponsor the podcast, please reach out to [email protected] My Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ayceebrown/ My TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@ayceebrown

In this episode of 'Is My Aura On Straight?', host Aycee Brown discusses July 29's full moon in Aquarius alongside a Jupiter cazimi in Leo at six degrees. She explains revelations about balancing individual expression with collective contribution, then urges listeners to integrate both rather than choose one. Aycee outlines how this energy affects rising signs by modality: cardinal risings may lose momentum (with Cancer/Capricorn focused on relationships and Aries/Libra on creativity vs community); fixed risings risk eroding foundations (Leo/Aquarius identity shifts; Taurus/Scorpio home-career dissatisfaction); mutable risings lose clarity through over-research and decision fatigue (Gemini/Sagittarius learning-beliefs; Virgo/Pisces work-health). She argues that "due diligence" can become costly stalling that drains energy, strains relationships, disrupts work, and damages self-trust. Aycee ties it to lineage patterns, and reframes "divine timing" as requiring participation—alignment isn't effortless, and not choosing is still a choice.   Click To Join Magical Mutha Fucking Mondays To work with me, hire me, or sponsor the podcast, please reach out to [email protected] My Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ayceebrown/ My TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@ayceebrown
