ENFPs can do more in a week than most people manage in months — so why do we vanish for months at a time, ghosting our own projects, our audiences, and the people we care about? After 7-8 months away, I'm back to talk honestly about the two real reasons ENFPs disappear. The first is losing your "why" — and I break down the three things a strong "why" actually needs: a reward that's genuinely yours, a process you enjoy, and the sense that your work leaves the world a little better. The second is quieter and more dangerous: the way negative associations pile up until avoidance becomes your default setting. I use the "rotten steak" problem to explain how one bad experience can poison something you used to love, and how that same mechanism turns small undone tasks into things you can't make yourself face. If you're an ENFP who keeps disappearing — or you love one who does — this episode is about understanding why it happens and how to get back on the horse. Topics: finding your why, ENFP motivation and procrastination, negative associations and avoidance, why ENFPs recharge by getting out rather than hiding, and staying enthusiastic in a cynical, AI-saturated world.

Sometimes what feels good in the moment actually weakens us and makes life harder in the long run. Many of these patterns are wired deep into us through evolution, which makes them tricky to spot.
