Investor home purchases are slowing nationwide, with Florida seeing some of the sharpest declines as market conditions shift. While overall investor purchases dropped nearly 4% in the fourth quarter—the lowest for that time of year since 2016—Florida metros like Orlando and Miami saw double-digit declines as rising insurance costs, cooling demand, and oversupply in some markets make real estate less attractive. At the same time, investors are still active in select markets like Seattle and the Bay Area, where activity has increased.
