I had the privilege of welcoming Imam Muhsin Hendricks onto my show, to talk about his brave decision to come out as queer (his preference) in the Muslim community and understanding compassion-centred Islam. The Imam serves as worship and community leader for the 1st LGBTIQ-friendly mosque in South Africa. "To be infinitely merciful becomes the lens through which we read the qur'an and practice it."
