It's time for a serious, sober review, Of where I've been and what I've done, Some concentration and contemplation, To prepare for what is to come.  ☉ There's never a dull moment these days with the technology we have created. It, therefore, becomes more important for us to consciously unplug and make space for stillness, contemplation, and rejuvenation. Otherwise, we can blunder along with the demands of the moment until we find ourselves carried away on the river of life completely out of control and lost as to our purpose. Hence, the cosmos and mother nature have come to the rescue with a nice, slow-down aspect, Jupiter squaring Saturn while the Capricorn Sun squares the Moon's nodes. There is great wisdom in the stars, and while you can look to where these are aspecting your natal chart, you can also gain some footing just knowing that the energy of the times (for everyone) are pointing to "downtime."  Rather than seeing it as a bummer and getting dragged down, bored, or depressed that things aren't moving as fast as you would like, it's pretty purposeful if viewed from a higher perspective. If we view our lives through the lens of win/lose, success/failure, or good/bad, we can arrive at a judgment about ourselves and others that further polarize our relationships and reality. If, on the other hand, we view our life events as simple learning experiences designed to make us more aware of ourselves, our strengths, and our gifts so we can bring forth more of our inner truth, we can see it as a road of ascension. As we grow and mature, rise up out of the forest of "detours" and develop our eagle eyes, we see the bigger picture, and it's beautiful. Fear not, the game is not over. Mercury and Mars will both go direct, life will continue, and we will move forward.  We can move forward with lessons learned, strength gained, and wisdom achieved rather than with regret, guilt, and shame. I will take the stage to sing or dance,  Give a speech or sound the call,  Not out of need, ego, or greed,  But to simply lift the spirits of all. ☉ Take advantage of Mars in Leo before he goes back into the womb of Cancer. Yup, Mars stations retrograde today and will be going back to 17 degrees of Cancer before charging forward again on February 24. During that time, he'll be opposing Venus, Pluto, the Sun, Mercury, and more, but for now, just Venus and Pluto. It is a great time for digging down into the depths of your soul to feel what you're really looking for in a relationship. This is an especially good time for that because Venus is not only conjunct Pluto but also leaving Capricorn for Aquarius. In Aquarius for the next month or so, our feminine nature wants to raise the bar for our relationships, bring awareness, lightness, change (maybe a little kink), and experimentation. We're looking for high consciousness in our partnerships now and will want to avoid settling for the same old run of the mill routines. With the Sun/Mercury conjunction opposing Jupiter, it's a time of high energy, expansion, and some optimism. Hence, this week's mantra encourages us to get out of the doldrums, brighten up our attitudes, and open ourselves to the beauty within and without us. This new Moon in Sagittarius, accompanied by three trine aspects, indicates an auspicious time of reward for past efforts and a call for further steps to be taken. It's time to walk the path. Do note that it's not until Saturday! From now until then, as the Moon transits Scorpio, there will be the need to let go. Let go of the habits, conditioning, and fears implanted from the past in preparation for your new beginning. The good news is that you will receive help, support, and recognition from outside, others, and perhaps society at large as I speak of the 240-degree trines occurring with the new Moon in today's report. On the one hand, we have to do our own work and cannot depend on others to heal us. On the other hand, relationships can play a critical role in helping us to become aware of our unconscious projections/wounds so that we can work on them! Mars in Leo brings up the issue of pride (which describes a group of lions as in a "pride of lions"). If/when we are going through a dark night of the soul, it can be necessary for us to ask for help! This is a conscious acceptance that is humbling but needed when dealing with unconscious complexes, especially old, long-standing ones. We go to a doctor if we need help, but it is up to us to get physical therapy, take our medicine, or change our lifestyle. We can go to a therapist to help us through a complex emotional crisis, but it is up to us to heed their advice. The list goes on and on, but I hope you get the picture. We are alone when it comes to deciding our future AND we are together to assist each other on their path. So let's do our personal work and come together! We rearrange the furniture on the Titanic instead of getting in the lifeboat and heading off to build a new future. The journey begins with the first step and there's a lot of inner work to do in order to summon the strength and vitality to take it.  We can waste a lot of time trying to change the world when, in fact, it is ourselves and our lives that we would be better off changing. The Sabian symbol reminds us this week that it is willpower that is going to do the job for us. It's time to cut out and let go of whatever is holding us back. We may think we're victims when, in truth, we are victims of our own fear of inadequacy, unworthiness, or failure. The world is changing in so many ways,  What's coming I just don't know.  The best thing I can do right now,  Is plant seeds that I want to grow.  ☉ It's looking like a pretty sobering week ahead with the end of illusions (Venus square Neptune) and some necessary critical thinking (Mercury square Saturn). However, I believe that the cosmos (life) is giving us exactly what we need when we need it. Crazy times call for some powerful inner work that will have beneficial results in the end.  I mean, we've got Mercury, Venus, and Mars in (on) fire signs! With the Sun in Scorpio bringing up some fixed determination and these guys ready to fire it up, we've got what it takes to transform challenges into successes. I go out and expand as far as I can,  Before it's time to come in.  If I don't know my own limitations,  I'll hurt or be hurt again. ☉ What an intense week! Happy Halloween, Day of the Dead, and All Souls Day on top of elections. Whew! It's really hitting the fan this week with three major oppositions that have to do with polarizing energy, and the amount of energy in the air is almost palpable, isn't it? The keyword for this Scorpio new Moon Friday is INTENSE.  Let's keep in mind that the soul creates intensity (as in intense situations) to force up and out into the open, deep, powerful energies of transformation. So, while it is uncomfortable, it's also full of tremendous opportunity. If we go into the discomfort instead of running from it, there are riches to be found! You may find that you are stronger, brighter, and more resourceful (the list goes on) than you thought, and the only way to discover it is through some intense emergency-type situation.  However, another truth is that there is no going back. Once you've discovered these aspects of yourself through intense interactions with others or life situations, you are permanently transformed into a different person. This is the resurrection that follows the death. It's a growth process nature uses in all her manifestations, from trees losing their leaves to snakes shedding their skins to us thinking it's all over only to find ourselves reborn. Sometimes it's hard to let go of dreams,  And what I thought life would be.  But the more I deepen my spirit practice,  I see this is best for me. ☉ "This" as in "the current time/space/people and events that are happening in your life that is. I recall the old saying, "You don't know what's good for you," and I never believed it, but the more life experience I gain, the more I see that sometimes, when we're not being mindful, we don't! Sometimes, we're just asleep at the wheel and going along with what others need/want or what we've been told we need/want until there comes a time (like now with Mars in Cancer, etc.) when it doesn't work and we're not happy. When this happens, we will feel hurt, let down, lost, miserable, and sad. That is until we sit still, breathe, close our eyes and focus on our third eye, go into deep meditation and/or chanting, and listen inwardly to the calling of our soul. We need to still the voices running rampant in our head, the push and pull of others and their expectations, the guilt and/or shame that have pushed us to make decisions not in alignment with our truth, and ask Great Spirit what the best pathway forward is. When we do this and align ourselves with our inner guidance, it brings a calm sense within. We feel centered and can relax, open our hearts to what is around us, and enjoy the moment we are experiencing without fears and doubts clogging our minds and arteries. The Mercury/Neptune/Jupiter Yod is calling us to this, the Sun in Scorpio with Venus in Sag squaring Saturn in Pisces is calling us to this, and Mars trine Neptune in Pisces is calling us to this also. I am a spirit being,  Now incarnated in 3D.  In order to create I need to relate,  Without losing what it means to be me.  ☉ This upcoming full Moon in Aries completes this month-long eclipse season, which has been highlighting the need for us as individuals (and nations) to look at our relationships and let go of old patterns, expectations, and codependent behaviors in order to blossom as individuals. In some ways, it is the culmination of the year and one-half transit of the north node through Aries, which will end in January. Now is the time to own our truth, stand in our truth, speak our truth, and walk our talk. The challenge is to do this IN relationship without destroying them, avoiding them, giving up on them, or trying to control them. It's like tightrope walking where we need to stay perfectly centered in ourselves (or fall a long way), and if practiced, it can result in profound, deep connection as we support the truth of the other and our truth is supported. The patience and ability to listen, forgive, and accept the other as they are comes from tapping into our highest spirit self. Letting go of judgement and fear takes courage born out of "spirit knowing." Let's look to the Spirit of the law more than the letter of the law, the needs, feelings, and intentions that lead us and our beloved more than the 3D, clumsy, and often poorly thought out strategies we humans use.
