Astrology for the Soul December 24th, 2025

Seeking for the perfect spot with the perfect background with no people… riding around from place to place until it was getting late and then having to settle for what simply was/presented itself. Acceptance of what is, which can involve letting go of the ideal, sound familiar from 2025? The microcosm mirrors the macrocosm, and in astrology one day after birth equals a year of life (secondary progression), so today mirrored 2025 pretty well for me LOL!!! Anyway, the bottom line of this week’s report, if it wasn’t clear in the report itself, is simply that we are more than the roles we play, more than we think we are, and more than the world tells us we are. Sometimes it’s easy to forget who/what we really are (evolving soul beings)! At parties, family gatherings and during the holidays it can be harder because, especially with family, people from the past don’t always know what changes you’ve gone through and can treat you like “the person they used to know.” So tempting to fall back into old identities! So yeah, not only are you not your “old self,” but you are an infinite spiritual being! Yes indeed! And this can be hard to remember sometimes too when things go wrong, bad, there’s memories or events that didn’t go our way. Hence the third line of the mantra this week: “With intention, practice, and understanding,” CAPRICORN/SATURN, yes? Commitment to our spiritual practice with an intention to grow and evolve, over time, will bring us the understanding that leads to liberation and ultimately, “enlightenment,” or Nirvana/Samadhi. Practice is continuing on through doubt, distraction, disappointment, and disillusionment, holding firmly to the goal envisioned, and MAKING IT HAPPEN. May you make it happen this holiday season. While there are many paths up the mountain and we are all individuals following our own unique path, today I talk about how some paths can go in circles, dead end, or go off the mountain completely!  The path toward enlightenment can be confusing and frustrating, and even have a few traps, mines, and potholes.  Mars symbolizes straight, forward, direct motion and when he squares Neptune, the planet of multidimensional, infinite possibilities, it's time for us to bring in some discernment lest we lose our bearings.Fortunately, we have the Sun squaring Saturn, Mr. grounded and practical, and the Great Pyramid Sabian symbol for the week, telling us that the slow, well trod, traditional path of our ancestors (and our past lives) is the path of truth.  The final four signs of Sag, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces have to do with how we integrate our personal truth with that of the collective and finally, cosmic consciousness.  In other words, during this Age of Aquarius the intention is for all of us to rise together rather than each of us waking up alone,Our challenge as human beings at this time is to decipher between the true and false paths of spiritual investigation that Rudolf Steiner spoke of 100 years ago.  This week's mantra may need further clarifying as there are so many today that are waking up as individuals, and, feeling no longer understood by family and friends, are "looking for their tribe of like-minded souls."  This week's mantra therefore, has to be contextualized so as to refer to those like-minded souls who DO understand us and either have or are going through an awakening process themselves.  By "friends," here I am not referring to anyone on the street but those who really know/see us..  Getting together, sharing, listening, and contemplating the feedback we are given from good friends is the best means of seeing our projections, fantasies, and self-delusions which is exactly what is happening for us all on planet earth at this time.  If we have the courage to humbly admit we hoped for or expected more than was possible, either of ourselves or others or the world, we can lower the bar, come down to the ground, and start next year from a solid base rather than blowing in the wind.  Let's get real together!"Did you miss me when you were looking for yourself out there?" I can follow the teachers and read all the posts, Do asanas ‘til I’m all tired out. But until I sit still, close my eyes and breathe, I won’t know what it’s all about. ☉Namaste New Paradigmers!After recording this week's report today I changed the mantra from “yoga” to “asanas.” I did this because there are actually eight limbs (branches) of yoga, and I am specifically referring to “asanas,” which are the postures commonly used in Hatha yoga, the most popular form of yoga in the “west.” I’m saying this because, fundamentally, yogic asanas are/were intended to prepare the body to meditate. However, as yoga has become almost a fashion (show) in the west it is now done like exercise without meditating at all! This fits right in with what I discuss today as the west being more yang/masculine/action/external while the east is more yin/feminine/being/internal. As such, it may do westerners well to “go east,” and easterners well to “go west!” We’re really just talking about balance, like day/night, Aries/Libra, Taurus/Scorpio, Gemini/Sag etc. The closer we get to center when balancing these polarities, the closer to “enlightenment” I believe we are. Let’s do it! No matter what, I just hope that this week you can take some time out to empty your brain a little, enter the "void," and let that void be filled with cosmic love and light! We have this beautiful kite formation with Mercury at the tail (release point), so it's a great time for revelation, inspiration, creative downloads, communication, and sharing all that comes through your meditations. ☉I promise to be honest, With myself, my family and friends, For even though it may upset, We will all give thanks in the end. ☉Hola New Paradigmers!That's a good Sagittarius Sun for you, on the quest for truth, natural law, and the meaning of life. Today we have not only the Sun, but Mars conjunct Black Moon Lilith (who wants the truth, the WHOLE truth, and NOTHING BUT the truth damn it!), and Venus coming along Sunday to complete the Sag party.  I see this week as holding great potential for success and advancement in many areas of life.  Which areas of your life will be seen by looking at the houses of your natal chart where this "kite" formation falls, particularly Venus as she is the tail.  She is the planet of love and money and when she's in a grand trine with Jupiter (the great benefactor) and Saturn (business) we may all see some great good fortune!In addition to these aspects, in today's report I also discuss not only the Sabian symbol which brings up the challenges that inevitably come to those practicing radical honesty, but that Venus is also in opposition to Uranus. It took some time to get us where, We thought we wanted to go. But when we arrived we realized, That together we can do even more! ☉สวัสดี (Hello in Thai)!It’s a new Moon conjunct Mercury and Black Moon Lilith! In the last degrees of powerful Scorpio! Can we do this? As I discuss in this week’s report, that all depends. Just as life becomes more complicated the older we get so do the signs and the new Moons that occur in those signs. A new Moon is a new beginning, let's say of a chapter in a book, maybe the 8th chapter.  We need to go back through the other chapters, see what happened, and take it from there, especially with a retrograde Mercury. My perspective is that on a global level, humanity has not navigated the first seven chapters very successfully. In fact, it seems with all the fighting going on, that we may be stuck in the first chapter of Aries! No wonder it's taking us all so many lifetimes to graduate from the school of planet earth! However, on a personal level, since we are all on individual trajectories, with unique soul histories and intentions for this life, we may "succeed" in chapter eight regardless of the whole.  The best we can do for humanity is to become the best version of ourselves anyway, so now is a good time to start. With the review that I talked about last week, we can use the outline I describe this week to go back through, not only this year but perhaps this relationship, this career, this path, this life! Done well, this month's lunar cycle can bring us more power, whether that be more money, business, love, sex, depth, understanding, or mastery... whatever your values, goals, and desires use for a measuring stick. One way or the other, it looks like this is a month of "make it or break it." We either merge and emerge more than we were before, or we battle it out so as not to change and "lose our old self." I will repeat, repair and redo, Until I absolutely know, That I've seen and felt and taken it in, All the way to my heart and soul. ☉Yup, that's right! Six planets (and the Moon's nodes) retrograde for three weeks! The Sabian symbol for today's square Moon is so appropriate because it speaks to the need for mature preparation in order to really enter into spiritual realms. This is a good time of year, and these retrograde planets are totally supportive of us objectively reflecting on ourselves, our relationships, this last year, and taking a good, serious look at all that has gone down. This review of the year (that should take some time) can really help us to see ourselves through our actions, responses, desires, and dreams, some of which have worked and some that perhaps haven't. I've always said it's not what happens so much as how we respond and what we do about it. As I mention in the report, I see people in very hard circumstances that have the Spirit, light, and love in their hearts. So, if we don't want to be "dizzy chickens," who don't have the inner strength, power, and wisdom to integrate spiritual truth/revelation, then our work is cut out for us. We don't have to kill the ego, we have to tame it. With mindfulness we teach ourselves that our thoughts/thinking/ego need to submit to our witness/observer/higher self/soul. Centering ourselves in our Soul we then guide our thoughts, feel our feelings, and tap into the secret subtle realms where truth resides. Let's let go of the superficial and experience the true ecstacy of living in harmony with all creation. I now have the chance to face,All my deepest fears,And need to summon all my strength, To make it out of here.☉I have to clarify this week's mantra!  By "make it outta here" I  don't mean escape, run, or dodge an uncomfortable situation.   In this case "here " refers to the limited sense of self, a limited identity or reality that we may have created for ourselves.  "Here" is a state of consciousness that lacks the true creative power that we all hold to manifest the highest version of ourselves on planet earth.Whether we are in a state of joy or sorrow,  success or failure,  it is but a stepping stone on the path toward a fuller expression of our truth.  Every event,  relationship or "accident " is an opportunity to put into practice the ideals, morals, and standards that we know we are capable of at the core of our being.By facing our fears and "doing it anyway, " when driven by a desire to evolve brings us to the next level.   Let's all go there together!This week's song is "Still ... Intensity is a keyword for Pluto (which is now at the apex of a kite), Scorpio (where we now have Sun, Mars, Black Moon Lilith, and Mercury leaving today but returning), and the 8th house (check yours and see what’s there!). During such times it is helpful to note that the purpose of intensity is to force up and out into the open deeply held needs, feelings, fears, and emotions.With Mercury and Mars opposing Uranus this week from “that realm” of the heavens, we have secrets, secret motivations, previously covert actions, hidden aggression, and more coming to the surface to be seen, worked with, and hopefully healed. Let’s also remember that the “underworld” and all that resides there is not “bad.” Part of why it is such a problem is that we fear (and are taught to suppress) our own power. Getting in touch with these deeper aspects of our psycho-emo-physio-spiritual self brings it all up into the realm of consciousness so we can use, direct it, and create even more with it than when it’s buried. If that wasn’t enough, I also discuss in today’s report the opposition of Mercury and Mars to Uranus. Therefore, this is a week of surprises (Ah Ha!) at best and accidents at worst. It is as if we are on high alert, some of you may even be seeing red! I feel the best approach is treat it all like a final test in our initiation into higher, greater awareness. Can we walk the gauntlet of life or the knife edge without going to fast or slow out of fear, not leaning too far to the left (masculine) or left (feminine), ducking to low (guilt and shame) or puffing ourselves up, refusing to walk, or in other ways trying to control the uncontrollable (arrogance). Lastly, what makes everything so intense is that there is a lot on the line and the stakes are high! What this also says is that there can be big wins as well as big losses. Let’s not forget the rewards, glory, compensation, and acknowledgment for a job well done, a life well lived, and an initiation passed with honor. Jupiter as the tail of the kite configuration this week may bestow great rewards on those who are still standing (just kidding LOL!), on those who, with integrity, patience, maturity, objectivity, non-attachment, and a host of other virtues, navigate these turbulent times with mastery. Let what comes come, Let what goes go, See what remains, The way of the Tao. ☉That just about says it all now doesn't it? However, as I also discuss in this report, we have a very powerful grand trine in water that includes a strong Mars, the god of action, in his home sign of Scorpio. The trine symbolizes a supportive flow of energy which is, in Taoism, "effortless action." This is acting in/with the flow of life, taking an active role in "turning the events." So, what has to happen is first of all, breath. relaxing and centering ourselves within our deepest core, feeling all the emotions that exist within and tapping into the flow of the subtle energy. If we are frazzle razzle dazzled, caught up in fears and misgivings or hurt, judgement, or blame etc. we will be blinded from, and incapable of, "right action." Let's all calm our nervous systems with a deep trust in life, it's beauty, truth and power. From this relaxed state we will be able to see the way forward more clearly. Lastly, I suggest not to do too much "future tripping." There are so many ingredients in the blender right now and the blender is at such high speed that it would be wise to wait a bit, keeping options open until the smoothie is done!
