The IC-OS Exercise Working Group published a landmark article in the European Heart Journal. "The aim of this whitepaper is to review the current state of the literature on the effects of cardio-oncology rehabilitation and exercise (CORE). There is an urgent need to reinforce and extend the evidence informing the cardiovascular care of cancer survivors." Dr. Fernando Rivera-Theurel is a Cardiologist with specific training in Cardiovascular Prevention & Rehabilitation and Cardio-Oncology at the University of Toronto. He leads the Cardio-Oncology Rehabilitation Program at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre and Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. He is the Co-Chair of the Exercise and Rehabilitation IC-OS working group and the Education Co-Lead of the Canadian Cardio-Oncology Network (CCON). His research is focused on the use of technology in cardiac rehab, cardio-oncology rehabilitation and cardiac rehabilitation in cardiac amyloidosis.
