Colossians 2:20-3:17 (Episode 447)

This episode walks through Ephesians 3, where Paul explains the mystery of Christ now revealed. Gentiles are fellow heirs in the gospel. The discussion also connects Paul's imprisonment, his calling, and the church's role as the place where God's wisdom and grace are made known. Daniel, Erick, and Caleb unpack why Paul frames his suffering as service to others, how the church functions as the means by which God reveals his mystery, and why the riches of Christ are never exhausted. Erick and Daniel are joined by Caleb Keith as they begin Paul's letter to the Ephesians. This episode quickly zeroes in on Paul's opening emphasis on election, adoption, and being "in Christ." Rather than treating predestination as a speculative puzzle, the conversation frames it as gospel comfort: God's saving work is established before the foundation of the world and delivered in Christ.
