America’s National Debt Surges Past $40 Trillion

Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch as they dig into the U.S. national debt reaching $40 trillion, Los Angeles taxpayers involuntarily bankrolling local elections, Mike Lindell demanding an audit of an election he lost by 45,000 votes, and California's vote counting is once again a national embarrassment.
First, they wince as the U.S. national debt surges past $40 trillion. They fume at both parties for refusing to deal with this problem long before it got this bad. They also blast Democrats and some Republicans who blocked the effort more than 20 years ago to allow Americans to invest some of the money they pay in Social Security taxes. The payoff now would have been huge.
Next, they shake their heads as Los Angeles will give five dollars of taxpayer money to local candidates for every dollar actually donated to them. It's yet another symptom of a truly rotten political system, which now has two dreadful candidates facing off in the mayoral election in November.
Then, they get into Mike Lindell's latest allegations of suspicious election results. This time he's challenging his loss in last week's Minneota GOP primary for governor, which he lost by 45,000 votes.
Finally, they look at California's latest vote counting disgrace. The vote totals in a special congressional election have not budged in more than 24 hours. How are California Democrats not humiliated by this ridiculous system?
