Fast Forward 15 seconds
Can darkness not only be the catalyst for something bigger but also be the very initiation into your superpower?

Bronson Lee Norton is a professional musician, athlete, podcaster, philosopher, bow-hunter, and bronze medal recipient for bravery. He is the host of “The Barbaric Wisdom” podcast as well as the founder of Moss and Blood, an apparel company for athletes and outdoorsmen.

In this episode, we dive into a story, an act of heroism, that would forever change Bronson Lee Norton’s life. After saving a woman from a violent sexual assault, March 26, 2015, Bronson fell into a darkness, that he once believed, he would never return from. He walks us through his experience on that fateful day but then takes us on a journey to the now. From a once hell, to a deeply enriched and full life now, filled with spiritual and emotional healing, and most of all gratitude, that has come as a result of this VERY experience. We explore his journey with first nations medicine, the tools he uses to navigate the difficulties of life and himself, as well as his advice to others who may currently be at their rock bottom. His message and his story are incredibly powerful, so I highly recommend listening through to the end.

    26. Daniele Bolleli: Kindness, an Act of Heroism

    1:07:04

I sit down with Daniele Bolleli to discuss the human propensity toward darkness and chaos but to instead shine a light on all that is beautiful and heroic within us, despite the cards stacked against us. We explore the difference between “true evil” versus mere frustration and fear built up and then projected outward, and whether or not “evil” people actually know they are evil or if perhaps they think their evil deeds are rather virtuous. We then dive into how a lapse in stress management and overwhelm may cloud our character permanently should we choose not to learn from our mistakes. And then move onto the very important distinction between self-examination, self-condemnation, and refusal to acknowledge our errors at all.  Daniele Bolelli is an Italian writer, university professor, martial artist, and podcaster based in Southern California. He is the author of several books on philosophy, and martial arts, including On the Warrior's Path.[2] Known for his writing since the 1990s in Italy and the early 2000s in the United States, Bolelli rose to greater public prominence in the 2010s, beginning with his appearances on popular podcasts such as The Joe Rogan Experience. He went on to create his own podcasts, and has hosted The Drunken Taoist since 2012 and History on Fire since 2015. Bolelli holds M.As in American Indian Studies and history from UCLA and California State University, Long Beach, and did postdoctoral research in history at Cardiff University.[3] As a professor, he has taught a wide variety of courses in the arts, humanities, and social sciences on topics including Native American history and culture, Taoist philosophy, and Ancient Rome. He teaches at California State University Long Beach and Santa Monica College. 23. Vylana Marcus: Embracing Your Fierce Inner Fire

    1:16:07

Have you ever experienced deep shame after expressing anger, even though you had a good reason to be angry in the first place? After all, “good girls” don’t get angry, don’t cause waves, and are supposed to be "nice". But what’s the cost of not expressing your emotions? In today’s episode, I sit down with medicine woman, sound alchemist, and sister, Vylana Marcus. In this conversation, we discuss her journey, exploring how she healed, transformed, and learned to integrate anger in an incredibly powerful way, channelling the archetype, Kali Ma. More often than not, anger is signalling to us that something is out of alignment; such as a violation of our boundaries or a relationship that isn’t healthy for us. In this conversation, we dive into healing within a safe container (aka sacred union), how to release self-judgment, love ourselves unconditionally, and move into authentic self-expression.  Wailana is a medicine woman who uses heart-centred modalities to guide people through the realization of their potential. As a sound alchemist, her mission is to use the science of sound to facilitate personal transformation and to help liberate people from the stories that keep them from living in the Truth of their magnificence. Her unique ability to manipulate frequency through her voice and instrumentation allows her to generate sound structures that affect the human on a holistic level. As a facilitator of psychoacoustic experiences for individuals and groups, she has witnessed sound act as a technology for accelerated healing, transformation, and the manifestation of desired states of being. Her vision is to connect people with the inner master that exists within everyone to reclaim the authority as the authors of their lives - and in doing so supporting the rebalancing of our world. 22. Dr. Christian Anguiano ND: Hormone Health & Nutrient Optimization

    1:36:15

Feeling frisky and on fire, or would you rather just eat a pizza and watch Netflix? How are your balls? Lady balls? (Jk- I just really wanted to say "balls" at some point in the show notes). If you'd prefer the latter, you could be experiencing some hormonal imbalances. Dr. Christian Anguiano is a licensed naturopathic doctor, specializing in men’s health, hormone and nutrient optimization, and chronic disease prevention and management. He earned his doctorate from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, and completed a post-graduate residency at Centro De Salud Familiar – an urgent care clinic that functions as primary care for a predominately Latino, Spanish-speaking and uninsured patient population in Phoenix. With a passion for providing care to underserved communities, he has spent time volunteering for non-profit public health organizations in Mexico and Peru and was the President of Naturopaths Without Borders while in medical school. He has been assisting on naturopathic medical mission trips to Mexico and Haiti since 2011, while maintaining his role as Family Physician at Centro De Salud Familiar, and is a supervising doctor with Naturopaths Without Borders.  In this episode, we discuss testosterone replacement therapy, the difference between TRT and just "juicing" for gains, as well as why healthy testosterone levels are so important in both men and even women. We dive into signs and symptoms of low levels and how low testosterone can negatively impact your sex life and libido. Dr. Christian gives us his expert advice on how to get you back on track through a healthy lifestyle and diet, as well as guidance around what supplements are incredibly beneficial.  Disclaimer: This episode is intended to inform and educate and is in no way advising you or prescribing you medical advice. 18. Rafael Garay: Change Your Mind, Change Your Life

    1:17:40

Do we really have to be defined by our past and live a personal hell of self-sabotage? Is there really any excuse to live a life at a sub-par level? After hearing Rafael Garay's story, I would say not. If you don’t like who you are today, you absolutely have the power to become the person you like tomorrow. It requires hard work and dedication but stories like his prove that it’s worth it. In this episode, Rafael shares his process for self-mastery, personal development and mindset; the essentials for transformation. Rafael Garay is a motivational speaker, business coach, and an extraordinarily successful entrepreneur. After being incarcerated and nearly losing everything, Rafael decided to change the trajectory of his life. He climbed his way out from rock bottom and all the way to the top as a (now former) corporate recruiter. He began studying personal development and learning neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Rafael then went on to spend years as Director of Talent Acquisition for one of the world's largest advertising agencies until he left the corporate world to pursue his dreams. His goal is to make sure that others get to overcome their struggles and live the life they too, were born to live. With your Patreon support, we have more time to bring on the guests you love.
