In Preparation to continue this months Milestone celebration of reaching 22 glorious years in transmittion with 22 before serving the hallowed turf that was, will, and always be known as The Dance-Floor, I present to you within this broadcast edition with an invitation to explore an often overused set of abbreviations systematically labelled to institutions, nights out… and Players, whom often display these terms like a merit or badge without actually delving deeper behind the music to understand what truly makes these explosive genres Soul-Unique,  How these Artists Moods are embedded-between every groove for an eternity and more!Just how our music has influenced all other Genre’s to this day and beyond, This is my interpretation portrayed the only way that I know how!! With 22 years now past continually trying to create a listening experience that is both worthy and true to the very origins of soul music’s evolution, Each week I present an open invitation to journey my record media to sail throughout the creations and pioneering innovations of Jazz.  The unorthodox collaborative jamming sessions that is Fusion with funk, all the way to the heartfelt lyrics that so often depict the tribulations we have experienced throughout our journeys in Life & Love of soul musics embrace. From the earliest moments captured through dance Rhythms & Blues soaked lives that evolved from the low lights of the streets, towards the lofty high lights of the cities reaching the pinnacle of  high octane and often hedonistic heights of which ignited the euphoria that became the Disco Explosion all the way towards crossing over into a brand new decade that was the colourful 80s where our infectious sounds from the soul-infused underground were too influential to contain. Lightning would indeed strike twice as our music again was hijacked just like the evolutionary Decade Before once again being influenced by the corporation run like Labels at first for pure profit! And then an intended dilution to be assimilated into the mainstream… Why? you may ask! Our music is inspirational, it’s motivational.. it is thought provoking and exciting made by those who often have struggle to break through! In the hope of fortune and fame. Carved out of oppression fuelled by creativity and ground breaking innovation based on harder times. Hope is seen to envious eyes as a weapon to those who want to take control… and keep it without earning it… sadly & mostly off of the back of the naive and inexperienced. This is in fact why my intended original five year quest to keep the Groove alive continues to this date to provide you with a consistent and independent reminder of what the original sounds that resonate Undiluted feel good was like! Still feels like!! And will always be feel like if you create the time to open your minds. I sincerely feel that love is the message! It always has been! that is why I never play anything of a negative nature, This is why I offer to take control of your Mind Body & Soul, My Mission cannot be ported over to the mainstream! or assimilated into another, Soul A:M is records, No! In the run up to next weekend where I will be presenting the first of Aprils curated Productions designed to make you feel fine as Soul A:M enters its 22nd Glorious year of transmitting to you! the World and indeed Beyond… Rewinding back to this week, Simply Press Play to unlock a selection of Memorable Melodies captured from the 80s wine bars and fab times spent on the Dance-Floors that now reside within your memories of which still sound divine. My quest is to always embrace the Musicians instruments, Production changes & breaks, rather than mechanised mixes of which can sound un-natural and compressed! There surely is NO WAY that A.I recorded this… as imperfections  present themselves reminiscent of if a guitarist was to loose their riff through their session … but will always perceiver to recover! I have many tracks where you hear that! And it’s a realism that sounds Real to this day. This Soul A:M Sunday Morning I impose a question to you! Did todays featured group cross over or! did they already reside on the other side.  Especially Seeing as though they already had that all important Musical attraction, Appeal for mass marketability across a wide spectrum created brilliantly & Masterminded by Multi instrumentalist Mr Richard Hewson. Since 1977 the Band already had a relatable signature sound laced with an infusion of Japanese Jazz like execution that would and could propel any gifted artist or group towards commercialism & wide-spread popularity.
